GOOGLE SEARCH CONSOLE (WEBMASTER TOOLS)

In search engine optimization(SEO), before you start optimizing your site, the first step you should do is sign up in Google Webmaster Tools or currently known as Google Search Console. Google Search Console is a free web service by Google. It allows webmasters to optimize visibility of their websites.

 

Google search console is a mixture of different things of google seo tools and reporting. By sign up for google search console, you can understand how google views your site and optimize its performance in search engines results. It is used for to submit new contents for crawling, remove content that the webmaster don't want to show in search results.

It has tools that let webmasters :-

•  Submit and check a sitemap.
• Check and set the crawl rate, and view statistics about when Googlebot accesses a particular site.
• Write and check a robots.txt file to help discover pages that are blocked in robots.txt accidentally.
• List internal and external pages that link to the site.

How to Add and Verify a site into Google Search Console:-

 To add and verify a site into Google search console, First Sign into Google Search Console with your Google Account. The next step is Click the Add a site button, and type the URL of the site you want to add. Make sure you type the entire URL. Next, Click Continue. The Site verification page opens. Then, in the Name Box type a name for your site (for example, My Blog) this is Optional.The next step is select the verification method you want, and follow the instructions.
