What is SEO?
Search engine optimization(SEO) is the process of optimizing web pages to make them getting top position in the search results.
SEO technique is used to promote websites in search engine.The Search Engine Optimization is the technique that used for web marketing. SEO allow a website to get more traffic from the search engines like Google,Yahoo,Microsoft...etc.
A
search engine works by the following steps to show the search result :-
• Crawling:- It is a program or software,that will crawl or scan the related web pages that linked to a website.Crawling is done by crawler,spiders,robots…etc. In case of Google the crawler is Googlebot.
• Catching:- Here,it will catch the content of the web pages that is crawled by the crawler.
• Indexing:- It is the process of creating index of all fetched web pages and store it into the database.
PAGE RANK
Page rank is a ranking system found by Google, which is used to rank the websites. In the earlier stage of search engines, they ranked all websites equally and return results only based on content and the meta tags that the page contains. When the page rank first come out, it is only the mechanism that used in Google. But after that, the other search engines have seen the increasing accuracy of Google. Nearly every search engines developed the page rank system.
TYPES OF OPTIMIZATION TECHNIQUES IN SEO
There are two types of optimization in SEO called On-Page SEO and Off-Page SEO :-
• On-Page SEO:- It will make modifications inside a web page. And it include providing good contents,titles,etc.
• Off-Page SEO :- It includes link building,link exchange, increasing link popularity by directory submission,etc.
EVOLUTION OF SEO
After Google publish the starter guide for search engine optimization some webmasters starts to misuse these techniques. The Google’s first method for search engine optimization is
Niche specific. Here the websites become in topper position in sear results based on the number of search keyword in the content. Then the webmasters shows a tendency of spamming by
keyword stuffing. Keyword stuffing is one of the technique that is used in search engine optimization. In this process webmasters add the search keyword to the content for getting the higher position of the search result. And it may leads to the website being banned.
To prevent these spamming Google change there algorithm and make it as
Link specific. Here it will depends on the number of links that get from another websites.ie,the website become top position,when the number of links point from other websites is high. Then the webmasters starts to try build links or buy links for there website.To avoid this spamming, Google then find the new method called
Quality link specific. Here the top position of the websites in search engine will decide by the page rank of the website.
Content spamming and
Link spamming are another types of spamming fond in search engine optimization. Content spamming is the process of duplication in the contents like copy the content from another website,grammatical mistakes in the content…etc. Then Google was revealed a new technique called
Panda updation, which is against the content spamming. Due to this updation, Google found all duplications in websites and remove that sites from the search engine. There are many versions of panda updation. The most powerful version is
Panda4 revealed in 2014 May, which is add a permanent filtter to the algorithm for finding the content spamming.
The next type of spamming is
Link spamming, which is a type of spamming that build links, link exchange…etc are include. To prevent link spamming Google present a new updation called
Penguin updation. In case of link building in the same server, the c-block of IP address will always same. So, Google can easily be find out the link building websites.
Panda updation and Penguin updation will remove all the low quality websites from the search engine.And the google starts to give manual punishment against spamming by remove the page rank of the websites.In 26th April 2012, Google new updation against parked domain was revealed.This updation is remove all the parked domains from the search engine.Parked domains are the websites that have no contents presently.It is created for after a long period of time.
To recover from panda updation and penguin updation, Google provide two recovery techniques called Panda recovery and Penguin recovery. By the Panda recovery technique,the punished websites can be resubmitted with good and quality contents.
Wiki spamming is the next type of spamming in search engine optimization. It is done by take links from Wikipedia as uncontrollable. Command spamming is another type of spamming, which is done by commanding in a website for getting backlinks from that website.
